There are at least 9 Post Types that create rapid engagement on Social Media. The following is a summary of notes taken at the Rise to Freedom Summit in Tempe, AZ on January 20-22, 2017 by Kate and Andrew McShea.
Post Type #1 – Questions
Used to get higher engagements
“What do you think is…………..”the reason people struggle generating leads online”
“What is your favorite way to get information online? Video, Audio, Article or Other?
“How Can I help you?”
Which training would help you more:
Closing Sales over the phone?
Closing sales through FB Messenger?
Post Type #2 – Opinion
In your opinion….what makes someone successful with (losing weight) (Network Marketing) (ETC)
Need your feedback: Which logo do you like best? Which drives people most – fear or vision?
Note – be ready for opinions lots of opinions……..
Post Type #3 – Inspiration
Ie: “Become so financially secure that you forget that it’s payday.”
Motivation – images, quotes, audio
Inspiring videos – best when done by you
Or Les Brown, Eric Worre, Ted, etc
Post Type #4 Vulnerabilities
What people want more than anything is you showing – Vulnerability – Authenticity – Consistency – shows you are a normal, regular person – people need to feel loved
Post Type #5 – Straight talk / RANT
Tough love is ok when you have a relationship with the audience
Can be inspiring too
Your RANT should lead to a teachable moment – not to just point out negatives
Post Type #6 – Fill in the Blank

Post Type #7 – Lifestyle
Not what it can do
What it can do for people
Pictures of you and family on vacation (after you return…”hey I’m gone so come rob my house”..LOL)
Share your Bucket List and how many you’ve hit or have scheduled
Google this topic – there are a million ideas
Post Types #8 Sneak Peek
Post – with verbiage – what you are thinking of doing and see they want that training
Ie: I found a way to get three leads a day by doing _______ – do you want to see how I do it? Get their input – you want to post what they want and you will never know unless you ask (it may surprise you)
Post Types #9 – What’s Hot
Ride the wave – it’s not about you – trends — like Facebook Live, it’s hot whether you like doing video or not – DO FACEBOOK LIVE and WEBINARS – both are really hot engagement and conversion tools
BONUS CONTENT TOPIC – Courage – doesn’t it always ROAR
- FB Live a time you were courageous
- Courage means…………
- Blog – top 3 courageous events you are aware of
- What do you think stops people from being courageous?
How many posts a day? – as many as you can but be consistent – whatever is manageable 1/3/5/10 – just be consistent with the number and the time of day. Check Insights on your Fan Page and do your posts and FB Lives when your audience is most available (again – it’s not about you. Get on their schedule)
When to Promote in Posts
Call To Action (CTA) – 80% content 20% product or service or like or click
Recycling Posts and Boosting Posts
At least once a week pick the post with the best reach and boost it – then reuse it again in 14 days
